The Bare Creek Trail Run is a popular community trail-running event held in Garigal National Park, St Ives, on Sydney’s North Shore. The event starts and finishes at Acron Oval and offers four distances to suit all fitness levels: a 2km Kids Dash, 6km family walk/run, 12km and challenging 20km course.
Participants experience beautiful bushland scenery, flowing fire trails, technical singletrack and creek crossings. The longer distances provide a greater physical challenge, with hills and varied terrain adding to the experience. Courses are clearly marked, with support stations along the way.
Since 2010, Bare Creek has promoted an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere, encouraging everyone from first-time trail runners to experienced athletes to get involved. It is more than a race, offering a fun community atmosphere with food, coffee and music at the event village.
